Why art therapy?
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve a person's mental, emotional, and psychological well-being. It allows individuals to express thoughts, emotions, or experiences that might be difficult to articulate with words alone. Art therapy can involve a variety of activities, including painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, and other artistic practices.
Want to Work With Me?
Participants don't need to have artistic skills or experience. The value lies in the process. not the end product, making it accessible to anyone willing to explore self-expression through art. Overall, art therapy promotes healing and self-care by engaging the creative mind. Encouraging emotional release, and fostering personal growth.
Goals Can Include:
Build confidence through creative expression
Improve focus and patience
Develop fine motor skills
Encourage healthy emotional expression
Strengthen problem-solving skills
Support communication and self-awareness
Foster imagination and creative thinking
Provide a calming, engaging activity
Boost social skills in group settings
Help children explore feelings in a safe way
How Art Therapy Works?
Art therapy integrates psychological techniques with the creative process. The focus is not on the artistic quality or technical skill of the artwork. but rather on the experience and personal meaning behind the creation. A trained art therapist guides the process, helping clients reflect on the symbols, emotions, or themes emerging from their art.

About Me
Hi! I'm Maison White, a 27 year old with a deep love for art. Back in 2018, I first turned to painting as a way to escape and process life's challenges. Art became a healing outlet, helping me cope with difficult experiences, and I soon realized it was something I wanted to pursue more seriously. This passion led me to study fine arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Driven by both my love for creativity and my desire to support others, I went on to become a certified art therapist, blending my skills to help others find healing through art.
